Born in Adelaide, Australia, Dr Andrew L Barbera is a registered Specialist Orthodontist with over 15 years experience within the dental profession.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2001, Andrew spent several years in private dental practice at Broken Hill and Cobar, NSW. He returned to Adelaide in 2005 and obtained first class honours for the Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (Hons). For his honours degree and thesis he was awarded the Colin Cormie Scholarship by the Australian Dental Research Foundation. Reference to the honours thesis is: Barbera AL. 2006. Andrew has also contributed to teaching orthodontics at the University of Adelaide for 8 years from 2008 to 2015 inclusive. Dr Andrew L Barbera is a full time clinical orthodontist, working as the private Practice Principal of North Adelaide Orthodontics, and as a Senior Visiting Specialist in the public Orthodontic Unit, Adelaide Dental Hospital. Andrew enjoys working with people of all ages from children to teens to adults, believing everyone should have the opportunity of a great smile and good bite. Andrew co-ordinates orthodontic treatment well with each patient's general dentist and is very thorough in his approach to treatment diagnosis, planning, and techniques.
Elle, Dental Hygienist Elle graduated from the Advanced Diploma of Oral Health in 2016. She has been working in the dental industry for the past 7 years and an enthusiastic member of the North Adelaide Orthodontics team. Outside of work Elle volunteer’s at primary schools where she provides interactive oral health education talks and attends professional development courses to ensure she is providing the most up-to-date information.
She is a compassionate and gentle practitioner dedicated to educating and motivating her patient’s about their oral health and also the link to their general health. Elle is passionate about individualised treatment to obtain healthy, aesthetic and happy smiles. Her area of focus is periodontal (gum) disease and your child’s dental well being.
Elle’s interests include spending time with her family, young niece’s and friends. She also likes to keep fit with pilates, enjoys a range of outdoor activities (hiking, golf and tennis), and likes to wine and dine. Elle looks forward to meeting you at your next hygiene appointment.
Caitie, Dental Assistant Caitie has been working in the dental industry for 2 years and has recently joined the team at North Adelaide Orthodontics. Caitie's favourite part about working in Orthodontics is seeing the happiness in the patients faces once their treatment is complete. On her weekends she enjoys social events with her friends.
Kendra, Reception Kendra has worked in the Orthodontic industry for 8 years and has recently joined the North Adelaide Orthodontic Team. Kendra's favourite part of working in Orthodontics is building the relationships with patients and the families. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her horses and pets.

Sue is qualified in many aspects of dental, as a qualified hygienist and counsellor, she brings a practical and inspiring approach to the role of managing the Practice. Driven by improving the health and confidence a great smile provides people, Sue is known as the solution maker and her calming influence is welcomed by anxious people.
Before joining the team in 2015, Sue had worked as a relationship, addiction and grief counsellor, a Dental Hygienist and organised and trained post graduate dental education as well as co-ordinated the esteemed Seattle Study Club.
Sue is often described as a good listener, respectful and open. Outside of Orthodontics, Sue enjoys socialising with friends and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
